MTN Nigeria Communications Ltd began operation in Nigeria in May 2001 after earlier securing one of the 4 available GSM license in Nigeria in February 2001. MTN in February 2003 became the 1st mobile operator in Nigeria to hit 1 million mark active subscriber base. In 2007, MTN was granted license to operate a 3G Network and also became the 1st Telecoms operator to launch Blackberry services in Nigeria.

Currently, MTN has over 45 million active subscribers and thus is the largest mobile operator presently in Nigeria. With 16 service centers and 102 connect stores spread across the country, MTN is the undisputed leader in Telecoms business in Nigeria.


Transtell Communications Nigeria Ltd became Trade Partners with MTN since November 2003 with the sole aim of leading the delivery of a bold and new digital world to the Nigerian Market. Transtell Communication has close to 30 sales outlets spread across the Major towns in Anambra and Imo States so as to enable it to achieve the above aims. Transtell Communication is involved in the distribution of all MTN products which include airtime, data products, electronics pins, virtual top-up (VTU), etc.

Globacom is the fastest growing GSM network in Africa, achieving a record, one million subscribers and covering over 87 towns in just nine months. The Company was incorporated in August 29, 2003.

Globacom Limited provides mobile services in Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, and the Ivory Coast. It offers prepaid package, business package, high speed Internet, 3G, international calls and roaming, prepaid roaming, bandwidth, and business roaming services. It revolutionized the telecoms industry by being the 1st to introduce the per second billing option, 3G service.

Transtell Communication Nig Ltd was chosen as one of Globacom’s Business Associates (BA) since September, 2003. Transtell has been in the forefront of moving Globacom’s products and services to all nooks and crannies of the South East and this is made easy due to the large branch network of Transtell Communication Nig Ltd. 


Airtel Nigeria is a telecommunication service provider based in Nigeria. In June 2010, the company acquired Celtel from Zain and rebranded it as Airtel. The company offers mobile telephony, internet and other related value added services. It also offers special blackberry enterprise solutions to its customers. Airtel Nigeria has over 20 million subscribers in its network and holds approximately 19% of the mobile market share in Nigeria as at the 4th quarter of 2011.

Transtell Communication (Nig) Ltd became Airtel’s channel Partner (CP) since August 2010. Transtell’s wide network of branches ensures that all Airtel products are distributed effortlessly to the various customers in both Anambra and Imo States.



Emerging Market Telecommunication Services (EMTS) trading as Etisalatacquired the Unified Access Licence from the Federal Government of Nigeria in January, 2007 to operate mobile telecoms services. In Nigeria, Etisalat made its first official call on its network on 13th March, 2008 and began full commercial operations in October, 2008. On 26 September, 2011 Etisalat launched its 3.75G HSPA Network which will enable Nigerians enjoy super fast broadband services for both personal and business needs. Currently Etisalat has over 15 million subscribers in its network and is still counting.

Transtell Communication (Nig) became partners with Etisalat in November, 2008. Transtell has dealership with Etisalat in both Anambra and Imo States. Transtell’s wide range of network ensures that products from Etisalat are distributed efficiently and effectively to our various customers wherever they may be in Anambra and Imo States.
